2019 Syrah, Red Willow

Red Willow is where Syrah started in WA and the Syrah grown there exhibits its unique terroir, almost like the Crozes region of French Northern Rhône. The 2019 vintage comes from the famed Chapel Block at Red Willow, a steeper section of the vineyard where Syrah shows great intensity. The grapes are picked early to preserve its natural acidity and helped to give the wine a lifted finish of dark juicy fruit against bring and cured meat tones. This vintage shows great balance of fruit, acidity, tannin and terroir. 100% whole-cluster and aged 12 months in neutral French oak barrels. Native fermentation. Unfiltered.
